Meet Your Esthetician

Welcome! My name is Jayna Minges. Improving upon and enhancing complexions is my passion! I am a holistic and medically trained licensed advanced skin care specialist. During my 20 plus year career as a cosmetic skin care treatment provider I have also worked as a skin care educator and trainer for multiple skin care companies, spas and skin care clinics. I received my medical aesthetic training while working in the fields of health and wellness, dermatology, and in plastic surgery.

My grandmother battling multiple skin conditions during her lifetime is what led me to choose a career in skin care. She battled acne for many years and also suffered consequences from tanning and leaving her skin unprotected while in the sun. My grandmother always struggled with her outward appearance due to it being blemished from sun damage and scarred from acne. She was uncomfortable living in her skin. Whenever a camera appeared at birthday parties or at holiday events she scrambled to get to a different room. She would always say “I look awful. I don’t want to see myself in the photo. Please take the photo without me”.

While living, my grandmother never had the knowledge of what to do to improve the health and condition of her skin. In office skin care treatments were limited. She had no idea of what to use at home on her skin. Due to her lack of knowledge of what to do to improve her skin condition she turned to tanning and bathing in the sun without sun protection to minimize the look of her blemishes and scars on her face and body. Ultimately, this caused her to end up with skin cancer and with more bothersome cosmetic skin issues due to years unprotected in the sun. Her struggles with her complexion and with her skin’s health gave me the desire to want to obtain the knowledge and training needed to prevent others from experiencing what my grandmother experienced.

No one should have to live life uncomfortably in their skin. You can improve your skin’s appearance and health at any age. It starts with committing to self care. Practicing a daily care regimen which includes eating healthy, exercising, getting sufficient sleep and having a skin care provider to guide you to the correct skin care products and treatments suited for your skin type and concerns. The more consistent you are with a daily self care regimen that includes skin care, the greater the results you will achieve for a healthier complexion and a healthier ‘You’.
